SAP coordination and follow-up testing for drivers returning after a violation.
DOT regulations are complex and the penalties for non-compliance are severe. We ensure every test meets federal requirements exactly.
DOT testing includes both drug and alcohol testing. Drug testing uses a 5-panel urine test (marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, PCP). Alcohol testing uses an Evidential Breath Testing device (EBT) or approved screening test.
DOT post-accident testing is required when there's a fatality, when a driver receives a citation AND there's bodily injury requiring immediate medical treatment, or when a vehicle is towed. Testing must occur within 8 hours for alcohol and 32 hours for drugs.
We manage your random testing consortium. Drivers are randomly selected by computer throughout the year. When a driver is selected, we coordinate the testing quickly and discreetly. Annual testing rates follow DOT requirements.
The driver is immediately removed from safety-sensitive duties and must be evaluated by a DOT-qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). After completing the SAP's recommendations, they'll need return-to-duty testing and follow-up testing.
Whether you need pre-employment testing, random pool management, or emergency post-accident response — we've got you covered.
